This bracket will not work if you engine block does not have thread inserts right below cylinder head on passenger side.   Generally, in our experience these thread inserts are there on 71 and new blocks.   Check as many 2002's have had engine updates, replacements

It is conceivable you could also tap in and drill in thread inserts but generally would recommend our other bracket for early model engines
